Restored Rockford Tower is the backdrop at the annual Wilmington Flower Market.

After years of damage and in honor of the Tower's centenial celebration, the City of Wilmington and the Delaware State Parks embarked upon a renovation campaign. MGZA restored the damaged Tower top, as well as the historic wind vane and rehabilitated the observation deck for public use.

A lightning strike is suspected to have caused this damage, resulting in years of weather exposure that deteriorated the coppper weather vane and roofing materials.
