Artesian Water Company's new operations facility, the Norman H. Taylor, Jr. building received a second major construction excellence award at the 2009 annual Associated Builders and Contractors "Excellence in Construction" awards dinner. Marenco Constructors, Inc. President, Carl Marenco received the award for buildings with a construction cost of $10 - $25 million. MGZA Project Architect Joe Tuschinski attended the event, representing MGZA's project team.

The building is technically-advance and environmentally friendly. Mary Severino designed the building with a 'Rain Screen' facade, consisting of a system of open-jointed porcelain panels, air venting and eco-friendly insulation out-board of the actual weather barrier of the building's wall.

MGZA's architectural team worked closely with Marenco Constructors, adhering to strict reporting requirements and adherence to budgetary and scheduling mandates. The cooperative efforts led to work that was commended by the client for being 'on time' and 'on budget.'
