Laurie M. Grimmelsman joined MGZA in early 1996, as a design associate and became the firm’s Director of Design in November of that year. With a unique outlook created by her technical base in architecture, her professional specialty of interior design, and her years of work in New York City, Ms. Grimmelsman has brought MGZA her wealth of experience with sophisticated national and international clients.

Spending over fourteen years in Manhattan, Ms. Grimmelsman honed her skills while working with several of the country’s most renowned interior design firms. As the former Head Designer at John F.Saladino, Inc., she excelled in client management, while developing a sophisticated sense of color and individualized creative interior design.

Projects have included the NutraSweet Headquarters in Illinois, the Georgio Armani Showroom in New York, the Valentino Showroom in New York, the Christian Dior Showroom in Paris, the Louis Vuitton Showroom in London and the Cruise / Kidman Residence in California. Ms. Grimmelsman’s work is noted for her creative detail, subtle coloration and her eye for timeless aesthetics. Since joining MGZA, Laurie Grimmelsman has augmented the firm’s reputation for quality design, with projects that include the headquarters of Dansko, Inc., in West Grove, Pennsylvania, interior design for the Delaware Center for Performing Arts (The Baby Grand Theater), and the renovation of a riverfront mill building for the Amtrak Consolidated National Operations Center, a building that spearheaded the Wilmington, Delaware riverfront renaissance. Ms. Grimmelsman has recently completed the regional headquarters for New York-based BlackRock Institutional Management Corporation. Commended by the client, the project appeared in “Commercial Realty Review” magazine. Setting a new standard of corporate campus interior design, the design components were adopted by BlackRock as “standards” for future design at the company’s headquarters in Manhattan.

Laurie Grimmelsman’s work includes consulting on international projects for PFPC Worldwide Inc., Dublin, Ireland, and for Blackrock in Scotland and Luxembourg.
