Mary G. Severino, founded MGZA as Zahn Incorporated (M.G.Zahn & Associates) in 1987. A graduate of the University of Michigan, with a graduate degree from the Unversity of California, Berkeley, she has been continuously practicing architecture and design since 1976.
She was on the design team of Atlanta's Hartsfield Internation Airport, the Joe Louis Arena and the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library. With her experience in large A/E firms, she intentionally structured MGZA with a limited staff size to insure quality control, communication and cohesive knowledge exchanges within the MGZA team and high levels of experience for the company's clients.
She maintains her passion, creativity and enthusiasm for her work, her clients and her office, maintaining her interest in the quality, the control, the technical excellence of MGZA's work, along with truly meeting our clients' goals and objectives.
Mary is a strategic specialist and has offered consulting service to major corporate entities, including PNC Bank, TA Instruments, Artesian Water Company, as well as the City of Philadelphia and the City of Wilmington, Delaware. She has been published in several professional and trade publications and has been a speaker at national and local syposiums.
Mary Severino has maintained membership in the National Association of Women Business Owners since 1990. She is a past recipient of the Philadelphia Chapter's "Woman Business Owner of the Year." She is also on the Boards of the Central YMCA in Wilmington, Delaware, the Committee of 100 and has been involved in Economic Development initiatives on the state and local levels in the State of Delaware.
